While I would imagine that all your songs are kind of like your children, can you choose one song you wrote that you are most proud of or means the most to you? --Sherri

i could say at any given time, it is the last song i have written- i happened to write one yesterday in norman, oklahoma based on an article i read there in a world literary magazine & a discussion i had w/ gary ogan (drummer, producer, artist, singer) as we travelled our 17 hours from the grand tetons at sunrise to the oklahoma rolling hills at sunset -- so today, yesterday's song is still floating around me & i am watching it both at a distance & very close-up- and as a new song often has, it has a glow around it right now

or i could say it is the song that means the most to people- those who tell me so & those who don't or can't tell me -

sometimes it is the sassy one or the ultra personal one or the social view one or the simple one or the grooving one or the one about family or spirit -- and sometimes i am tired of it all, for a moment -

but when i am in it & singing it, THAT one is the one
