bozeman, montana area has become a 2nd home -- this was the 3rd night in a row of shows-- the voice; a little worn and weathered- my philosophy: use what you have on any given night (any given moment) and put it out there-(really, what other option is there? be upset? demand a perfect voice? maybe the imperfect human voice is a perfect voice for human songs) this theater had a set on stage that was for a patsy cline theater show that was playing there and rather than moving it, we just kept it--- it looked like a set for a cheap tv variety show from the 60s-- goofy, really, for a solo singer songwriter and yet perfect---a great turn out of people-- and the silly stage set with a white grand piano - and with that piano there i played a piano version of "uncle lloyd" and "you'll be with me all the way" usually done on guitar- and 2 montana guitar builders were in the audience: 1) larry pogreba 2) kevin kopp -- i played both of their instruments that night -- also dear friend joanne gardner and songwriter friends jon pousette-dart and ben bullington. so, road weary, friend supported (old &new) white pianoed and a good mellow night for the folklore society in bozeman Back
